Shipping shoes in polymailers

Hi everyone ! I am a long time seller in Mercari and Poshmark and I want to start selling on eBay! I sell mostly shoes and I always ship them in polymailers , I never use dimensions, just the exact weight! Can I do the same on eBay? Just add the correct weight and not add dimensions? Thanks in advance

I use large poly mailers ( 12 x 18)  and even if I fold one for a smaller item, the price is always the same....all weight  dependent.

In an eBay listing, you can choose to charge a flat price for shipping to any destination, or you can set up calculated shipping which will show each buyer the actual postage cost from your ZIP Code to theirs.

If you set up calculated shipping, eBay does require dimensions, but it's OK to estimate because the dimensions do not affect the postage cost for any package that has (1) length not over 22 inches; and (2) volume not over 1 cubic foot (1728 cubic inches). So for example  if you use an envelope that's 12x18 inches, you can enter a third dimension up to 8 inches without affecting the postage rate.

Shipping price will be the same if you use Ebay labels. If you you Pirate Ship, you can take advantage of priority mail cubic softpack  pricing. It all depends on the weight if cubic pricing will be better. For instance, a 3 lb. package shipped to zone 8 weight based would be would be $18.54 when shipped in a box. If shipped in a 15'X12" envelope, it would be $13.47.

Are the shoes in a box?   I would request a return  if my pricey shoes arrived dented/crushed/flattened or with a broken heel. II'm thinking leather shoes, not slippers.) If you use a polymailer, the item should be in a box if it could be bent, misshapened, crushed, etc.   Keep in mind that many people keep their shoes in boxes.  So you need to make sure that the box doesn't get crushed too.    I know that you want to save on shipping but you need to get the item to the buyer in the same condition that you listed it.
