Shipping internationally outside of using GSP

OK, so I'm temporary restricted from utilizing the ebay Global Shipping program so that basically eliminates 30% of my business.  I had a few cancellations when I first started my store so they used that against my seller performance and basically restricted my listing amounts, use of GSP, etc.  Any experienced sellers have recommendations for shipping internationally and just utilizing the auto-ship calculator?  I haven't had to do it that way in a while thanks to GSP.  Is it worth it for a few extra orders per day?

I would say that it depends on what you're shipping and where it's going. GSP is largely a ripoff for small items going to major, commonly-served foreign countries (e.g. UK, France, Germany, Australia). If you're shipping lightweight items (under 4 pounds) to countries offering e-DELCON tracking via USPS (details here), First Class Package shipping should be fine. For high-value and/or high-scam items, I'd upgrade to Priority Mail International or higher.

If you can give us more specifics on what you want to sell, we can probably make better suggestions.

Thank you for the quick post!  No problem... internationally I am typically selling baby strollers, baby car seats and mainly childrens items (none are super light.. 15-30lbs. on avg.).  I would say that accounts for 50-60% of my sales.  Then the balance would be items in the 5lb. or less range.  Of course I'd be shipping them myself which I'm not doing presently.  Not being able to use the GSP truly sucks... especially when you have 100% feedback and a 9 yr. old seasoned ebay account 😞

If I'm primary using DS is it worth it to order items to my house and then ship then internationally instead of using ebay GSP; which I can't do at the present time?

Forget about shipping large, bulky items internationally -- it just doesn't work and is very expensive.  Size and weight limits are very strict.  Drop-shippers will not send anything outside the U.S., with the possible exception of Canada. If you wish to sell internationally, I suggest you find products that are small, lightweight, useful, sought-after and not generally found in your target countries. ~~C~~

Thanks for the feedback. That's what I figured. That is why I liked the ebay GSP so much... they had no issue shipping out my heavy stuff and clients gladly paid the shipping rate 😞
