Shipping Internationally

Hi all!

It's my first time shipping internationally and I was wondering if someone could help answers a few questions! My buyer is in Canada, and she paid $23 for shipping, however when I got to print the shipping label, it populates an address in Chicago (110 Internationale Blvd
evtn:xxxxxxxx
Glendale Heights IL 60139-2080)

I understand this is Ebays international shipping hub, but I'm only being charged $8. Will they deduct the rest of the shopping costs once it gets sent to Canada? Just curious about the process here. Thank you!

If I got this right, (I don't use EIS or ship internationally). If I'm incorrect someone will chime in.

When your buyer pays, you get the cost of shipping domestically to the EIS Hub in Glendale Hts Il, the EIS program gets the international shipping portion of the shipping costs from your buyer.

Your funds are not deducted for EIS shipping.

The above poster is correct @bookcafe101 . You receive shipping costs equivalent to any domestic sale to that location. Anything the buyer pays over and above are funds that go directly to eBay, and are not included in the amount paid to you.

You will not be charged additional shipping after the fact for the international leg of the journey. The only possibility of a charge after the fact would be the same as any domestic label - a cost adjustment if you entered wrong package weight or dimensions, etc.

They want you to put in a packing slip/invoice.  If you forgot, don't worry about it.  I forgot for the first 2 orders. They arrived fine.

I used ebay international shipping for the first time (shipped on May 28th) and got a notice on June 7th that my shipment arrived at the Glendale Heights IL consolidation center BUT is being returned due to issues encountered. (the package is coming from NYC and being sent to the buyer in Germany).

USPS has never gotten the package back (nor have I) and I can't seem to get anyone at ebay. Any advice?

@luxurydiscovery

Were these the fur gloves?

If so, I doubt that fur can be shipped via the EIS as the EIS isn’t an option on that listing,  I do see first class international listed so when you went to print the label you will probably prompted  to ship eBay international (EISD) which does not have the same seller protection as EIS.  But it is probably being sent back because it is fur.  I’m not sure if fir can be exported but I’m fairly sure that the type of fur hasn’t been identified is a problem as well.

If you check the tracking on parcelsapp.com does it give you any more information?

Here is more information about EISD.  https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/shipping-items/setting-shipping-options/ebay-international-standar...

You’ve posted on a year old post and they may close the resurrected thread .  So you might want to start a new thread as someone else may have a suggestion.

Never once have I included a packing slip - either with EIS or GSP.  Not sure how many I have done - maybe 200-250.
