Shipping Estimate Dates Incorrect

Another glitch found today in shipping.

On our listings offering USPS Flat Rate, and FedEx Ground/Home Delivery it's giving the following estimated dates:

USPS Flat Rate Medium Box: Guaranteed by Fri. Nov. 01
FedEx Ground or FedEx Home Delivery: Guaranteed by Thu. Oct. 31

USPS Flat Rate delivery time is 3 days or less.

FedEx Ground/Home Delivery is 5 days or less.

Now we have to send upset customers partial refunds in order to make sure they are happy with their purchase... more unfair losses.

Shipping Estimate Dates Incorrect

This has been happening for as long as we can remember. Shipping dates show differently depending on when and where you print your shipping labels from! (PC, APP, iPad or iPhone) All of the mentioned print shipping labels so different.

PC will actually give us a choice of day we are shipping and will automatically go to the next available day if it’s after Post Office business hours, whereas all our other options show as if package was shipped that day (weekends and after hours included)! And then prints label showing a guaranteed date of delivery which isn’t correct! Frustrating for sellers and buyers!

We have recently had issues with people wanting refunds for just that, item not delivered on “guaranteed” day. As soon as a label is printed it shows as if we shipped it right that moment. 😐 Not humanly possible.

Worried going into busiest time of year for postal workers that this “issue” will cost us even more. And after all the recent glitches, not sure this is even on eBay radar?

Shipping Estimate Dates Incorrect

ebay knows about the glitch, but doesn't seem to be doing anything about fixing it.  I was told by one of the ebay peops here on forums that even though it says it was shipped day of label creation and that they (ebay) notified the buyer of delivery date based on that creation date … that in reality there would be no metrics or stats damage if acceptance scan shows on the correct shipping date.    I am not so sure I can believe that with ebays penchant for trustworthiness and honesty.

I do know that I have been reading about, and noticed in my own sales shipping that ebay also has a penchant now for changing the guaranteed delivery date in some cases so they do not have to fork out the penalty bennies out of their own pocket.

I wish I could relate better experiences than the above ...
