Have a question for the eBay/ Ship Cover folks.
I recently sold a listing that was over $1,000. Went to print the shipping label and also wanted to add insurance. When I clicked on insurance it brought up Ship Cover insurance and gave me a price. Not having used Ship Cover before I clicked on the little icon to read about their coverage. Well surprise to me they do not cover " Coins, bullion, loose diamonds or stones, stocks, bonds, currency .... etc "
My questions is since I sell natural placer gold, under the categories of "coins"... "bullion"... " gold "... "nuggets".
Are my parcels NOT covered by Ship Cover insurance?!

Better is to use ShipSaver, which will cover what you need.

Haha! Thank god I stopped using insurance a long time ago b/c I used ShipCover. I only sell coins/bullion and used to insure occasionally, had no idea my items weren't even being covered. Never needed the insurance anyway and it turned out to be a waste of money. My items will never be damaged so only issue is lost pkgs.
Thats EXTREMELY bogus though that when you buy a label through eBay, they can see what the item is and they don't bother to flag it saying "hey this insurance doesnt work for you."
Why eBay, why? Why can't you put it front and center? I read a lot of the policies, I never thought I needed to read this one 🙄 my fault 🤪
