I do not like international sales. Too many issues too many request to falsify values, ect.
So I don't offer that option on my listings. US only
Ebay now has their new International Shipping program and I now have a VERY insistent buyer wanting to use it. Even after telling them I was not interested in shipping to Tiwan he still was winning bidder.
Question: Is it possible to change the shipping, which buyer is suppose to pay for, to the International Shipping Program Ebay Offers, even though the shipping on the listing was domestic only without an option for international shipping?
HOW will this be paid for?
Right not it is about $6 for USPS shipping per the listing. Does that get bumped up due to Tiwan address?
I have activated the eBay international shipping program on my account, however there is no way to add the option of international shipping to an already sold item, that I can see.

You are on the hook for shipping, if I understand correctly what you wrote.
That's why he was so insistent.
Perhaps you can ask the buyer to cancel the order and re-order now that you have EIS activated. He may not want to because he will then be on the hook for a substantial shipping fee (as well as possibly other import fees).
You have the option to cancel the sale, if your metrics can withstand the hit. (If there is a hit... I do not do auctions, so perhaps the rules are different.)

Once the item is purchased you cannot change to EIS.
Is this for the Lego Oasis?
The listing shows you ship to Taiwan.
Are you sure you didnt have EIS already?
For EIS shipments you will ship to a US address and they will take care of the rest.
What address is on the sale?

If you're opted into EIS then that is shown on all your listings unless you opt out. I assume this is why a buyer in Taiwan was able to bid. If you go to purchase the shipping label I believe you will see the ship to address as either IL or CA those are where the EIS go for forwarding to their international destination. If this is the case you only buy a label for the domestic shipment to the hub and eBay is responsible for it beyond that point.
If however the ship to address shows as Taiwan you'll have to come back here for a better answer.

I state quite clearly that I ship US only in my listing. I don't offer international shipping even as an option.
I told him that I do not ship to Tiwan in messages.
He still bid on the item.
It was not until AFTER the bidding closed that I saw it was the bidder from Tiwan who won, and then I started to look into EIS. Prior to this sale I had not touched anything about international shipping and did not know about EIS until last night. I do realize that Ebay tends to put you into programs without really letting you know.
I assume that there is no way to USE EIS after bidding is closed.
Do I need to be FIRMER in my statements to protect myself?

It does look as if your recently sold listings do have EIS on them. It's not necessary for you to add the international shipping if EIS is already enabled. Is the buyer saying that when they click on pay now it does not show them a shipping cost to Taiwan?
If the buyer doesn't see an international shipping cost on their end, perhaps we just see it because you enabled it after the fact. In that case you would have to cancel the listing and list it again. If you do that, you can list it with a very high buy it now price with best offer rather than as an auction. The buyer can offer you the price that they won it at and then you can accept the offer.

Even if you have it set up as Domestic Shipping only...there is still freight forward from a USA address to a foreign country.
I assume this buyer has an address stated Taiwan and not a USA address and then to Taiwan.
I actually had no problems shipping to that country.

Have the buyer request the cancellation, too if you go the route to cancel and relist. BTW, when you say in the listing you don't sell internationally, does that mean you have your settings set that way, or do you just state you don't?
