done? I have a much lower base price but still can't compete because the shipping is so much lower. My research has showed me that blank journals should not be sent media mail but I definitely wonder if this is overlooked because a lot of sellers are doing it, seemingly without issue but I cannot say for sure.
This is one of the references that states blank journals should NOT be sent media mail.

However, if you google "can journals be sent media mail" on the top of the list it say journals can. I do not think this is accurate but perhaps this is how it is justified.
Ultimately, I don't really want to use media mail and certainly not incorrectly, I just wish their was an even playing field. Thanks for listening to my venting!

Journals cannot be sent MM. They've never been eligible. Unless you've actually purchased from one of these sellers I don't know what you can do. They could be subsidizing part of the shipping cost in the item price and charging a lower front facing shipping cost, but unless you buy something from them you have no way to prove it.
If you have actually made a purchase, show the package to your Postmaster. If they are worth their salt they'll file a report, and if that seller has enough reports or gets investigated they can lose their ability to use prepaid postage entirely.

Thank you. I honestly things have been so slow for me lately I probably don't have the extra $30+ to try this although I appreciate the idea and will keep it tucked away. At least one of the sellers in their listing states that the cheapest option for U.S. buyers will always be MM and has the listing set up as such. Oh well...I will just keep chugging along hoping that do the right thing gets me somewhere eventually!
