Screwed over by UPS and eBay is no help

Sold an Atari console. Shipping options for 11 pound parcel included UPS 2-day air $23.00 so of course I chose that. EBay comes back 2 weeks later and docks my account an additional $83.85 because UPS says the parcel weighed 30 pounds which is ridiculous. Turns out my receipt from UPS Store says weight is 0 pounds 0 ounces which I failed to note when it was given to me- I trusted the weight would be shown on the receipt. It can be easily verified from identical items that their weight is bogus. At my request eBay has sent 2 separate disputes to UPS and each time promised to let me know the status, and in both cases they have failed to do so. This is like if I advertise an item on eBay stating a shipping cost of $23 and then telling the buyer once the order is placed that the shipping is actually $110.  I have been a top rated seller for a long time, and began selling on eBay since 1999. But I’m ready to close my account for being treated so shabbily.

Not to be a prune...but one has to realize how young those are working at UPS or anywhere now. I had a small standard envelope returned to me for an additional $4.41 postage where there is no where to place that on a small standard envelope. I just remailed  it and it got there by USPS eventually. There will be mistakes by those along the way. I always prefer to walk in person to a clerk at the desk to mail some of my heavy stuff.
