Purchased something that was supposed to fit our 2008 vehicle, but does not. Seller takes returns. So far, so good.
When we contacted the seller, they want us to pay the return shipping. Then I initiated the return through eBay. It produced an automatic label to return via "first class package return service." What will happen if I use the label?
Item is large (over 1 cu ft, weighs 7 lbs). Would rather use Fedex, but I have had issues every time I have tried to print a label at home.
How do I know if I will be charged for the return, and if so, how much will it be? (When I ran the package on PirateShip, it will cost $26 via USPS. This has the FCM return label. Will USPS take it?)
I have a lot of experience selling, mostly on another online venue.
Any help/experience/suggestions are appreciated!

What reason did you use when opening the return? If it was an MBG/Not as Described reason, the seller pays return shipping. If it was a Remorse reason, you will be paying for the label.
A First Class Return Service label is not limited to size and weight like a regular FCP label. It will be fine.
Just for reference, these are the reasons that eBay gives to a buyer in the dropdown return menu: (pink are MBG/NAD, black are remorse)
Doesn't fit
Changed my mind
Found a better price
Just didn't like it
Ordered by mistake
Doesn't work or defective
Doesn't match description or photos
Wrong item sent
Missing parts or pieces
Arrived damaged
Doesn't seem authentic

In addition to what penguins has offered, I'll warn you that sometimes Postal Clerks don't know how eBay return labels work and may try to charge you more at the counter. My regular carrier knows and will pick these up, but if I take them to the PO, I usually just drop in the bin. Good luck!

Thank so much!!
we chose “wrong size“ (their example is clothing ) for a reason for return, as the part did not fit, although the listing said it would fit our 2008 vehicle. Is there anyway to adjust that, or am I committed?
re postal clerks, we average two parcels a day and our clerks know us well. There should not be a problem with the return label. It does look suspicious to me though, LOL.
As a buyer, this has been a frustrating experience without being able to call eBay CS. Your assistance has been invaluable!

Well, darn. It sounds as if you entered a remorse reason (wrong size), and if that is the case, the seller can charge the return postage to you... that is, deduct it from your refund.
If the listing stated that it would fit your vehicle but didn't , I'd (as a buyer) have chosen 'Not As Described' as my reason for return... that means the seller pays return shipping.
Don't panic... as a seller , if I'd listed it improperly, I'd refund you fully. Hopefully your seller is of the same mindset.

Don’t know that we have ever done it, but if they won’t pay for the return shipping, can I dispute the charge on my CC without jeopardizing our selling privileges here?

eBay is cracking down on buyers who file chargebacks now that they're rolling out managed payments. Avoid the chargeback and use it only as a last resort.
But just to clarify - did the seller's listing say the part would fit your 2008 vehicle, or did you find that information on your own through an internet search? If you didn't get the info directly from the seller and instead relied on an internet search then the seller shouldn't be held responsible for return shipping if you ordered the wrong part.
Only if the seller actually advertised that it would fit your 2008 vehicle or if the part was defective in some way or if the seller sent you a different part should the seller pay for return shipping here.
If the seller is at fault then contact eBay customer service through FaceBook or Twitter and tell them you filed as "doesn't fit" when you intended to file as "doesn't match description" and ask if they can adjust the return reason for you.
If you ordered the wrong part then you should pay return shipping.

@wastingtime101 The seller kind of admitted it in our communication "some parts like this I do not have interchange data on, so that makes it hard to list which vehicles it will fit"
From the listing:
2008 Toyota RAV4 Base Sport Utility 4-Door 2.4L 2362CC l4 GAS DOHC Naturally Aspirated
Thanks so much!!

How can I exchange my part

You have tagged on to a similar, but not exactly identical, complaint.
First of all, have you read the Money Back Guarantee for buyers?
Also, why do you want to make the exchange?
If you'll accommodate us and tell us the reason, we can explain what to do in your particular case.
