Bought a hard disk in eBay days ago, I live in Mexico, I’m part of a program called “Estafeta Members”, you can google it, it is a program where a Mexican company called Estafeta and eBay works together, Estafeta works as a forwarder, imports and shipping company for people who buys in eBay and lives in Mexico, not all sellers in eBay ship items internationally or to Mexico so this company, Estafeta, give us an address in Laredo Texas where we can get the items we bought in eBay and then they make all the importing process and shipping to Mexico, ok, so I bought this hard disk in eBay days ago, got it shipped to Laredo and days after I got it in my home address in Mexico, after two or three days I opened the box and tested the hard drive , I found out the disk doesn’t work, yesterday I started a return case in eBay but eBay automatically provided me a label to return it free of charge, but they assumed I live in Laredo Texas cause that's the address where the disk was shipped to, in past occasions I had the option to use my own shipping method and to add my own tracking number whn opening a return case but not this time, actually I have a different return case open right now where I can add my own shipping company and tracking number, I need that option this time cause I’m returning it from Mexico, I will pay the shipping cost to return it but I need that option enabled, the option to provide my own tracking number, what can I do? , please I need your help.

Items that are reshipped are not covered under the protection plan.

It is a program created by eBay and Estafeta so I think there should be a solution

eBay removed the "Mark as shipped" button from the print return label page. Send a private message to eBay with your name, email, and zip code at Facebook or Twitter to add your own tracking number instead.

You seem to believe that this program is sponsored in some way or guaranteed by eBay.

It's not.  It's just another freight forwarder for people in Mexico to be able to order and receive goods.

As with all freight forwarders, eBay guarantees nothing after the package is delivered to the freight forwarder's location.  Sorry.

It's not quite as black and white as that as the return has already been approved since eBay did allow for a label from Texas. If the seller was going to contest it I don't think a label would have been issued.

 

Another poster suggested that the buyer contact ebay on FB..that's what I would suggest too.

Exactly, specially when I have a second different return case open right now where I can add my own shipping company and tracking number, and I used the exact same method to get it imported to Mexico, I will contact hem on Twitter, thanks.

First of all, slow down dude, that's what you think, and you're totally wrong, in everything, I have done the process before and worked every single time, read first, I have a second different return case where I can ship by my own, plus, it is a program affiliated/sponsored someway legit by eBay, I get emails from eBay Inc regularly with discount codes and current promos in eBay and those emails contains graphics and promos for the program "Estafeta Members", eBay have some kind of business partnership with Estafeta company, that's a fact. eBay have a different opinion, already contacted them via DM on Twitter to explain them and they say I can return the item from Mexico and ship the way I want, I just need to send them the tracking number and they will update it in the return case page, as soon as the tracking info shows as delivered I will get a full refund.

Sorry ... that's a different thing, that is for shipping directly from eBay to Mexico with Estafeta as the shipping company, I just showed that to the other person to let him know eBay and Estafeta works together and have a business partnership, I'm into a different thing, a program called Estafeta Members, anyway, already got an answer from eBay help team and I can do it the way I need to.
