Resolving a (lost item) case with EBAY

More than a month ago, I spent almost 500 dollars for a motorcycle seat and still no word on where it is, or even if the vendor is legit.  I have the case filed with EBAY and it seems like they are just pushing the resolution date back. Any advice from the community would be helpful.

What was the estimated delivery date?  Is there a tracking number that shows the item is enroute?  When there is a tracking number a seller can request an extension up to ten days if there is a recent tracking scan.  That would be the only reason that a resolution date has been extended.  If it doesn't get delivered within those ten days the seller will be required to refund the buyer.

You had 30 days after the last estimated delivery date to open an item not received case with eBay.

After you opened the case, you needed to return to it in 96 hours and ask eBay to step in so you could be refunded.

If you allowed that 30 day deadline to expire, you have 180 days to open an INR case with Paypal if that's how you paid.
