A custom bought something from me that was price at 79.00, the overall cost including taxes($7.41) and shipping($10.11 and paid by buyer) was $96.52. I got paid out to my bank before I shipped anything which was $65.51. The customer soon after request their order cancel because they order it by mistake. I go through the entire refund process but I then later notice eBay withdrew $76.36 for the refund from my bank account. As you can see, I'm actually being charged more than I was initially paid from the sale, $10.85 more dollars to be exactly.
I don't the all ins and outs on selling eBay, but this just doesn't seem right. I don't understanding why I'm losing more money out of pocket for giving a refund for a order that wasn't even shipped. Is there anyway to resolve this and actually only refund what was given to me for payout?

What reason did you select for the cancellation?
If you paid for, but didn't use a shipping label, did you void the label for credit?
Did you have any additional options on the listing like a reserve, promotion, etc.?

Did you accidently clicked shipping label? Go to MY ebay , go to ACTIVity. Scroll down to shipping labels and see if you see a tracking # for this transaction. If yes, see if you can click VOID the shipping label. It should be on a pull down screen near the name of the item. Just because the label did not print , does not mean that you did not buy a label. Just click Print label is enough to purchase the label. (assuming the weight and measurements are already in there.) You have a few days to void the label. Once voided , it can take a week to 3 weeks to get a refund. Parcel post/select and media mail labels take the longest to get a refund.

@rfmtm ---All good questions for the OP
Your numbers do not seem accurate.... (if this is the item) not 96.52
If you look under the details in your oayouts page, it will show the breakdown of the refund amount for you...
