I bought a v-belt for a Honda riding mower. I looked up my replacement belt by part number. Sellers listing says it's the replacement belt for the part number i have.
I bought it but it's too short. I double checked with Honda, i have the correct part number.
I'm going to return the belt. I'm just wondering what my reason for return should be. If i choose "doesn't fit" is that considered a remorse return or a required return? Otherwise i guess i could choose "not as described".

New belts can be incredibly tight and hard to install, because they stretch once they get going ... big, strong hulking guys are sometimes needed. Are you sure it is wrong?

If it is indeed wrong, and the buyer said it was a direct replacement, then the reason would be "Doesn't match description or photos".

Any time you see wording that the item is a "replacement" for the OEM part number you are not getting an OEM part and frequently they just don't fit properly. You can readily tell by the manufacturer name that should be in the description. These are Chinese knock offs but are priced less than the OEM part but are not necessarily of the same quality. I only buy original OEM parts and never have a problem. The deck belt should not be that difficult to install. Do it all the time on my riding mower.
Agree that you need to open an not as described case.

I would choose “not as described”. The claim by the seller was it is the correct part and it could very well be, it could be an issue with wrong mfg numbers....the burden is is still with the seller.
