There have been several posts questioning the new QR codes that are appearing on eBay labels. Interestingly they are NOT being printed on USPS label on Pirateship. Experience has shown that PS is usually right on the ball with shipping changes. So one has to wonder is this a USPS requirement, or an eBay "thing"
An earlier poster said they scanned the code with their phone and got a completely extraneous web site. So a new Ad source for eBay?
And, just as an aside, they have been on UPS labels like forever.

We need more info from that poster. What they said doesn't add up.
The QR codes have package and tracking data for USPS equipment and scanners. We've done tests with both iPhone and Android with neither able to read the codes on multiple labels.
Unless we get solid info to prove otherwise, I think those ads were most likely not from scanning the QR code and instead from some other app that poster had open at the time.
