Priority Mail Express Refund

Last week i came on here asking for advice/info on shipping something Priority Mail Express.  I've never done it before and i had a customer requesting  PME instead of PM.  He ended up paying about $30 more. Shipping the package was quite simple, just like printing out a First Class or PM label.

The package was sent June 8. It arrived today, June 13,  five days later.  Needless to say the customer was not happy.

On the bright side, i submitted a claim for a refund and it was super easy.  The tracking number and a few clicks of the mouse and the claim/refund was immediately approved.

I offered my apologies and a full refund for shipping to my customer.

I just thought i would share this story with you.

Have a great week!

Priority Mail Express Refund

Did you hand the package to a clerk at the post office before the cutoff time?

Priority Mail Express Refund

No, i handed it to the mail carrier. She said she would make a special trip and drive it to the post office before the cut off time.  She says she does that when ever she has a express pckage. My house/route is litterally 5 minutes from the post office. But i never asked her what that cut off time was.

Check it using the zip code of the PO where your carrier dropped it off at USPS link I gave you in your other thread to help figure out why this one failed, and to be able to make informed commitments to buyers in the future and not have this happen again. https://postcalc.usps.com/ServiceCommitments

That info along with the tracking should show you where the problem(s) occurred.
