Hello everyone. I am having a issue with 3 customers not receiving their item in a timely manner. I do next day shipping and upgrade to priority and offer free shipping. I have filed claims to the post office on behalf of these 3 customers and the managers called me back and had a tone like I’m too busy to look for your items. If I have to refund the money how do I stop the customer from receiving the product. Can I call the post office and have them shipped back to me and how do I do that? In my 20 years on eBay I never really had this issue with the post office.

You can do package intercepts on the items by going to USPS.COM website. The intercepts cost around 15.00 dollars each if they can locate the package. That is really the only thing you can do to protect yourself from the item getting to the customer EVENTUALLY and to stop it from going to them if you refund them. There is only a slim chance they would even attempt to pay you again for those items so if they are of significant value do the intercept and then hope your items wont get lost on the way back to you. This is the most terrible stuff. Good luck.

It probably did not work becuase they cannot even locate these packages at all. Many are probably piled up in a semi somewhere and have not even touched the PO’S.

I understand their backed up but over a month and the pos office raising their rates I would expect to get the service I paid for or is that to much to ask. So what’s your point? Boohoo it happened to me more than you. What are you 10 years old?
I looked at a few of your shipments, location and the delays. Don't ship anything else USPS from your area. Until perhaps March or April....

The way an intercept works is no one goes to find your package. It is still sent to your post office. Then that is when USPS intercepts it and returns to you. Right before delivery is when it only has that chance to be stopped. Not along the way.
That's why it seems to me to not work often. At least in my experience and also from reading here on the boards.

My post office was delivering mail today (MLK holiday day). Along with the post office in the next town over.
