Package retained at customs in Mexico, need tracking number for Intl shipment

Hi there 

My shipment has arrived to Mexico form US but got retained at Mexico customs with the "prohibited item" legend... I open a discussion with Mexico post office, but they say cant track my package with the tracking number given by Ebay (ESUSXXXXXXXX),  that they need a valid Intl tracking number (13 digits, starting with 2 letters, 9 numbers, then 2 letters at the end)

I already asked the seller but he says thats the only number tracking on the buying order info...

Is there any other way or place where I can find this information?

btw... Im Mexican, so sorry for any mistake on my writing.

Was that sent through ebay international standard package?  Those are sent by DHL, not the postal service.  I've had some luck looking up those parcels on the DHL Express website.

You could also try this:  Enter the tracking number at https://parcelsapp.com/en

Then on the right side of the page it may list a carrier that it has been transferred to with a new tracking number.
