Did you mean:

Oops, technical hiccup

I have very good reason to believe "Oops, we had a technical hiccup. Please try again later" is NOT a technical error but one designed to prevent a person from sending a message

You are given 24 hours to respond but the error continues for the entire 24 hours

I tried three different browsers on two different computers for over ten hours spread over the 24 hour period.  It did not work even though was able to send messages to the seller from the same web page

This is completely dishonest.  It is nothing but a lie.  It leads you to believe it is possible when they have purposely made it impossible.

It actually fits the legal definition of fraud

The intentional misrepresentation of a matter of fact which if acted up on will result in the legal injure of the other party

It cause me so much aggravation and frustration believing it was just an error it wasted my entire day and caused other problems.  The stress from it is enough to cause a person with a weal heart to have a heart attack.

It is criminal, there is NO TECHNICAL ERROR, IT IS ALL A LIE

Oops, technical hiccup

I understand that the situation is frustrating, but why do you believe that eBay would go out of its way just to antagonize you like that?

If you think that eBay is purposefully putting technical roadblocks in your way to prevent you from responding, why would eBay want you to see that particular error message? It would be trivial for eBay to allow you to submit a message, and then just have the message never be delivered, or disappear silently. You would not be able to prove that you actually sent the message, after the fact.

So what does eBay gain by specifically letting you know that the message did not go through, that could not be gained by failing silently, by having an entirely different policy, or by later ruling against you on a technicality?

How does eBay benefit from this?

Oops, technical hiccup

Sure doesn't sound like eBay is trying to prevent (or shorten) the frustration the OP went thru either!
