When you opened a return it means you want to return the item you received for a refund. When tracking shows the item was returned you're automatically refunded. Many buyers are confused and think "return" means return my money. You needed to go to the Resolution Center and report that you paid for a item and haven't received it yet when you didn't get the item. Since you can only have one case on eBay you need to ask eBay if they will change the return case to a not received case. If you are unable to do that then after the case on eBay closes go to PayPal and file a not received dispute there.
