Never got a carrier scan - still seems to have arrived

I have a sale that took a hit on me a few months ago but still shows up on the seller dashboard. I dropped it off in the mailbox months ago and never heard anything from the buyer again. I still have USPS AWAITS ITEM for the tracking status. It seems like it got to its destination but was just never scanned? 

Wondering if there's any way to remove that mark on me.

Did the buyer leave feedback? If so, you can go here to request removal of a defect.

I never received feedback on the item. I want to assume that the package got to its destination because I never got a message from the buyer saying it hadn't... It was like a $6 transaction too 😕

It is rare for a package to never get scanned at all. This Late Shipment Defect will drop off of your dashboard in 3 to 12 months, depending upon how many transactions you have, moving forward. I have never heard of a way to appeal this defect. I would not worry about it since you need 6 or 8 for there to be consequences. I have had periods of time with some of these late shipment  defects appearing on my dashboard with no consequences.

I shipped a USPS Priority package to Florida a few months ago that never got scanned once.  I contacted the buyer a week after the scheduled delivery date and they said they got it.  I got a defect for a late shipment, but other than that it turned out ok.
