Managed Payments

I have always prided myself by offering my buyers 1 business day after payment is received, shipping. With this awful manged payments I now have to make my buyers  wait at least 3 days for me to ship their items. Does my account ever catch up so that I have a surplus of money for shipping early if I want to?  What kind of idiot dreamed this up?  With Pay Pal it was so very easy and I assumed to my chagrin that this new system would work the same way. We even opened up a separate account for eBay thinking that they would automatically with draw money from that like they did with PayPal to pay for shipping-not so. DUMB, DUMB, DUMB.

If you change your shipping label payment preference to you Pending funds, you don't have to wait. You do that on the label purchasing page. So you should be able to ship as soon as eBay says it's okay.

Managed Payments

I have managed payments and for the last 2 months, my shipping labels have been paid out of my pending funds for USPS, UPS, and FedEx labels.  Before that, FedEx and UPS were taken out of my PayPal and only USPS was taken out of my pending payments.  I did not change any of my settings for this to occur.  You might try contacting ebay.

I don't understand the waiting 3 days part. Is that because you're waiting for funds to clear your bank, @richeb4? At the bottom of the page where you purchase a shipping label you can change the funding source to either pending funds on eBay or PayPal. In your PayPal account you can change your preferences to pull from either your PayPal balance or a linked bank acct or credit card. I use PayPal, and I have PayPal defaulted to charge my credit card because my linked credit card gets cash back.

@richeb4

Although you can  use Pending funds, I find this ^^^ way of shipping to my liking, too. I have my attached bank account set (in my PayPal wallet) as the 'Preferred' method of payment while shopping online. Works like a dream!

They will withdraw from your bank account if you have no pending funds. Will do so for other fees--store subscription, etc.--as well.
