I went in to my seller performance and saw that my late shipment rate was nearing 3% which can effect my rating. So I check the report and all of the transactions that I was dinged on show the item shipped the next business day after payment was received. I'm not sure what can be done. Unless a buyer specifically asks for me to hold an item before shipping, with few exceptions it goes out the next business day. Any suggestions or similar experiences?

Might be wise to get a scan receipt rather than just dropping off at the post office.

@ericksonman You dont have to answer everyone individually. Unless it is a spacific answer to a question that person asked.
It is on the post and everyone can see it.
Still to stop this from affecting your eBay account you can get a scan sheet and have it scanned at pick up OR increase your handling time to 2-3 days.
Many POs are having issues and not scanning at pick up seems to be normal in some places.
Its usually best to CYA and protect your account by doing something that will help. 2 day handling would keep you from getting most defects. You can still ship in 1 if you want but it gives you cushion.
