Items not properly displayed as unofficial

I recently purchased some items that were portrayed to be official, everything from the listing to the box and images were there to make the buyer think it was official. However, upon closer inspection the controllers ended up being fake. so naturally I went to the return page, commented on the fact that the items were fake + how I knew they were fake, and I soon got a response asking if I "read the description" and received two shipping labels in my email for the two controllers.

The thing is, the description seemed to point out that it was unofficial after my claim but I don't know if sellers can change descriptions and I don't think it's right that the listing only says it's unofficial in a single sentence in the middle of the description while everything else points to it being genuine. 3rd party controllers never have the logo of the company they're taking the design from on them and the listing displayed the manufacturer as "Sony".

Is it possible to see a cached listing to see if the line saying it was unofficial was actually there? Do I just deal with the fact that the description did say it was unofficial and be thankful that I can return it? I feel as if the seller didn't do a good enough job to tell their buyers that they weren't buying the real thing; in all honesty I'd rather just get a refund and dispose of the controllers myself or with ebay directly.

I'm not sure of the semantics, but if the item had "Sony" markings, it has to be made by Sony. Counterfeit (or "unofficial") items are illegal and can't be sold. Even if the seller admits to an item being fake, it can't be listed or sold anywhere.
