We sold a pair of sunglasses just over a month ago. Yesterday we received a message from the buyer saying that while they were listed as polarized he is convinced they're not. Actually, we didn't claim that they were polarized. The eBay catalogue info for that model that populated our listing had the "lens technology" as polarized. But then, of course, eBay is off the hook because it also says "Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing" and we are thus responsible for eBay's mistakes...
In any case, while the buyer is just whining at the moment and has not asked to do a return or asked for a partial refund, we're wondering about the time limit on returns. I've been trying to find clarification in eBay's return policies but can't come up with anything (maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?). I'd always understood there to be a 30-day limit and the 1st of April was 32 days ago. Before the question arises and I have to tell the buyer that we cannot accept a return because it's too late I'd like to be sure that it is.

The buyer has 180 days to file on Paypal. Keep that in mind.

Ebay gives them 30 days and Pay Pal gives a buyer 180 days to file a claim.

I think what bothers me most about this is that eBay always seems to want us to use their catalogue information in our listings and yet, if we do and they're wrong, it's our fault...

30 days from delivery date, not sale date.

Every time I've tried using it, there is always something that isn't correct, so I don't even try using it any more.

30 days from delivery will be two days from now...
