I am literally counting down the hours until I can escalate a return due to horrible packaging and a fragile item arriving broken. The seller has been a complete nightmare to deal with. This is BY FAR the most negative experience I have ever had on ebay in the nearly 20 years I've had an account here. As far as recall, I have never returned an item before for any reason. Even with my lack of experience with returns though, I cannot imagine that most sellers are this... well, crazy... especially when their own negligence is clearly at fault. Then again, I am certain that most sellers would not do what this seller did in terms of packing this item. Anyway, I sort of understand why ebay wants the period of time for seller and buyer to work out resolutions on their own, and I assume (hopefully) that does work most of the time. Having to wait for them to step in though, when you're communicating with a person who's unreasonable at best and scary at worst... is torture. I just want to be done having to hear from this person. It's such a waste of time and energy. It's like talking to a brick wall.

I did "item arrived damaged," and took pictures of the packaging (or lack thereof) and the pieces that are broken and unusable now because of it. Hopefully that will be enough.
