Hi!
So someone in the Phillipines bought one of my items. I've never shipped internationally before. I said he would pay $50 for shipping and i'll pay the rest if there is more, but I read after that the program makes the buyer pay for everything. He said to edit the invoice, but I'm not sure how to fill out the invoice for an international shipment. Can I say the shipping costs $50 on the invoice, or will the program just ignore that and take extra money from them, ignoring what they paid for shipping on the invoice? OR will they take the $50, and deduct extra money from them if it costs more than $50?
Thanks

If you use the global shipping program then the buyer pays you whatever DOMESTIC shipping cost is in the listing. They pay the international shipping cost to the GSP in a separate payment. You cannot change what the GSP charges the buyer and that money does not go to you. You cannot send the buyer an invoice either. The buyer has to pay whatever amounts are shown on the listing.
The only alternative is to remove the GSP from your listing and then ship the item directly to the buyer and assume all responsibility.

Is this for the $900 Macbook? According to that listing there is no shipping to the Phillipines for that item so you can't ship it through the gsp. I would be uncomfortable about shipping an item like that directly there. Since there is no shipping cost, he won't be able to pay unless you do send him an invoice with a shipping cost.
Even though the gsp does often ship to the Phillipines they do have block certain items for some countries.. the item could be restricted there or perhaps there are other reasons why they've done that.

To prevent a buyer from making a purchase when there is not shipping listed for that country, you should set up your site preferences. Go to my ebay - account - site preferences - buyer preferences and check off 'block buyers with a primary shipping address in countries that I don't ship to.'

So should I cancel this order?

You should be able to cancel because of a problem with address but I'm hoping that another seller will agree that is the best way to handle it. I would first write the buyer to apologize and explain that you were under the impression the gsp would be looking after the shipping but apparently they won't ship to his country and you only ship internationally using the gsp. I don't know if the buyer knew that or not but I would give him the benefit of the doubt.
Someone else may suggest that you file an upaid item but I don't think that is really fair since he wasn't blocked and was allowed to 'buy' it.
