Hi all. I'm hoping someone can help, because I'm kind of upset and don't feel like ebay cares at all. I mailed a package to australia using pirateship's simple export rate. Only the 1st part of the tracking uploaded. So once it delivered to pirateship it was marked as delivered and my buyer panicked and claimed an INR. Keep in mind, I am in America and the buyer is in Australia. I called eBay and tried to explain the mistake. I gave them the rest or the tracking and asked them to remove the INR. THE GUY TOLD ME MY BUYER WASNT WILLING TO WAIT THAT LONG. HOW CAN I GET A INR FOR A PACKAGE THAT ISNT DUE FOR A MONTH. Any help would be appreciated. I'm honestly so confused, because I literally did nothing wrong and now all my money is on hold.

Reach out to your buyer and explain the situation. Explain to them that since USPS has suspended all service to Australia you are using a reliable exporter to ship their package ( besides saving a substantial amount of $). When using pirate ship , packages are first given a Pirate Ship tracking number ( usually starts with AHOY and is a domestic tracking number going to one of the various Acendia USA processing centers). Ascendia is the exporter. Once they process the package and apply the customs form, the package receives another tracking number. That is the delivery tracking number and will show the package leaving the US and entering Australia. That tracking number can be viewed usually on DAI Post ( they are the main importer for Australia & NZ).
I would also call back to CS and try a different rep to get that INR removed. There is a huge difference among the service reps. The INR is absolutely ridiculous given the current shipping situations & delays. Good luck & don't give up -- you are not at fault😁

Thats what I tried to explain to ebay... I literally mailed it 4 days ago, of course she doesn't have it in Australia yet. They did add the correct tracking onto the order, and it shows it is moving through the process as expected, but he absolutely refused to remove it. He was the 2nd person i escalated to and he refused to escalate me any further.

They won't close the INR, they'll just put the case on hold for a few days and see what happens.

If you mailed it 4 days ago , then the estimated delivery date must be a month out? It is ludicrous that a package would be in Australia in 4 days. Since your package is moving and the estimated delivery date is no where near , you'll be fine. They only process it as an INR if there is 10 days w/o movement. But do call back -- or have someone from eBay call you. Believe me there is a huge difference among the service reps -- don't take "No" as their final decision.
