Unsure if sellers account wa hacked or a scam to begin with

Hi all so I made a purchase on the 8th jan first of all this sellers account looked great 100% feed back fast responce delivery honesty the whole lot it wasn’t until after id purchased id got sent a email saying ready to be packed and delivered only to find it’s been canceled I call the courier to be told the seller has cancelled I looked into his ratings when I discovered every rating he had all spoke and spelled even there style of literature was potential to the seller nearly as if he had made a few cheap sales then rated him self off other pre made accounts then the story’s started every day it was getting taken to the courier or the courier was picking it up this has went on

Everyday now it’s know the 18th of Jan and since iv pointed this out to the seller I’m know being ghosted he still hasn’t read generated a new shipping label or tracking number the company’s he told me he did make these labels through tell me they never existed to begin with I guess what I’m saying is can a seller with 100% 5 star rating even be trusted after iv just figured out how to get around all the ratings with what this seller has went through to try and fool my self and others know I’m gona have to go through the items not received and strat the refund processes but this is a worry if iv figured this out and don’t consider my self highly inteligant then imagine what a switched on scammer could do

Sadly yes — some sellers fake feedback using multiple accounts, so a 100% rating alone isn’t always reliable. Since there’s no real tracking and you’re being ignored, open an Item Not Received case right away to protect your refund window. eBay will step in if the seller can’t provide valid proof of shipment.

Hi,
I purchased this item on the 8th Jan and was told it was being prepared for shipment. The order was later cancelled by the seller, and I was given several updates saying it would be collected by a courier. I’ve checked with the couriers mentioned and they’ve confirmed no labels or bookings were ever created. I’ve also had no response from the seller for a few days now. As there’s still no tracking or shipping confirmation, I’ll be opening an item not received case to move the refund process forward. I just want this resolved in a clear and fair way, as the current situtation has been confusing and unneccessary.
