First when I bought a heated on eBay under purchase history It said my package has been shipped , but no shipping label had been created. After not getting the package for 9 days I wrote the seller and told him a shipping slip had not been created . On 11/21 received an email telling me my the heater was shipped ups , by the request of the seller he had the heater returned to him, when I finally got an answer from him, through eBay dispute he said he shipped the wrong item. On 12/1/22 I received this tracking number for the heater Fedex . Said the item was shipped to me today 12/5/22,never got it. I then called Fedex and they told me a package with that tracking number was delivered, but not to my address. Some how this guy sent me someone else's tracking number, was not shipped to my address. They told me that this was a new scam out there and they do not know how to stop it. Now I got a new tracking number UPS today 12/5/22 , new delivery date the 12/12/22, one day past the day I can dispute it with pay-pal! Now the package is being delivered from HOME DEPOT in Washington state! I did not buy it from Home Depot! one month to the day from when I bought it. I also filed a complaint with pay-pal but it is all hinged on eBay. I have a bad feeling I am going to get a real screwing on this one.

You said you opened a case on ebay but if you have opened one on Paypal, the ebay case will likely be closed. You said you filed a complaint on PP, does that mean that you opened a case there? If so, has the seller replied to the case. If he enters the tracking number that was delivered to the wrong address showing delivery AND if it is to the same zip code as yours, PP may close the case. Will Fedex give you any proof that the address was delivered to an address different than yours?

Why are you doing all this needless work? There is a "Expected Delivery Date" on your order. File an "Item Not Received" claim through Ebay.
Don't message the seller. Don't talk to PayPal. You don't need to talk with ANYONE!
Is there a tracking number on your Ebay ORDER? What happens when you track that way?

Let's cut to the essential facts here.
The listing for your item had an estimated delivery date.
Has that date passed by at least 24 hours? Open an item not received case.
That date CANNOT change.
You don't need to "dispute it with Paypal". You have eBay's Money Back Guarantee.
You have 30 days past the estimated delivery date to open an INR case with eBay.
Have you read the MBG?

Called them and all they would do is tell me that the item was delivered and signed for. But they would not give me any more information except it was not my address.

The last shipping date, this is the third time, he supposedly sent it is in a couple of days. I am caught up in the latest shipping scam, an it's being keep real hush, hush. Through my UPS site, it shows my name twice. The second time below my name above it my shipping address. I called UPS and asked why my name was showing up twice, and the operator told me my name above has a different address. He would not tell me where the address was, but he did tell me it was not my zip code. I went in my UPS settings an set up delivery to my address only. Now I see my order is on hold, because they cannot ship to my home address! I have been doing a bit of digging around and it's a hidden fact that, UPS and FEDEX are getting hacked, and do not even know how to stop it. The steel tracking numbers, and even go as far as going on UPS site and change your settings. Like on mine, they kept taking out text messages. This all stopped once I filed a claim with my charge card. I can keep going on with what I have read, and AARP has some good article including the one on the UPS scam. It's being keep real quiet about the problem the shipping carriers are having, because of the impact. By the way, this is the second time this happened this year! When I confronted the last seller about two names on my UPS tag on dispute, he gave me my money back, and disappeared from eBay. Until Ebay figures out a way to better protect us, I am limiting my purchases on line. Ever if the item is a bit more from a local merchant, to me it's worth the money. At least when I go to a register and pay for an item, I walk out with it. On Ebay, I am rolling the dice. So Sad. Thank you for your advice, I will try the "Item not received", 24 hours after the last delivery date.
