You won't believe this, but I had my phone in my bicycle jersey back pocket. I must have left the ebay app open. I put lots of things in and out of the pocket during the long ride. I would have bumped the phone repeatedly with energy bars, etc. Later that night I discovered I'd bought something, paid for it, and seller already shipped. Seller did nothing wrong, but I had no intent to buy the items. (It was on my watch list-to monitor for what it sold for, as I have similar items in my possession). Ebay doesn't get hacked does it? I have no other explanation. Is there any recourse? Thanks.

If the seller accepts returns, you can return it (on your dime) and get a refund. If the seller doesn't accept returns, you can sell it yourself.

Seller doesn't accept returns. It was a highly overpriced buy it now item. That's why I was monitoring it. I wanted to verify my belief it was overpriced and thus an indication of the value of the similar items I have. To me, the key is the lack of intent. That's what I assume is unbelievable. A contract, has to require intent. It was really an accident. It's a fault of the app. Accident's shouldn't be possible.

This could only happen if you strap your phone to a 9 amp-hour battery.

And who, apparently, left the app on? Take responsibility for the purchase. It's not the app's fault. It's YOURS.
Like I said, if the seller doesn't accept returns, sell it yourself.

You are 100% spot on with the first four words of your post. After those words not so much.

Your phone hit the BUY IT NOW button.........then it hit "PAY NOW," logged in to your paypal account and went through the steps to complete payment?
Dang! Guess that's why they call them smart phones, ROFL!
At least it wasn't the cat, dog, kid or ferret this time.

Some people have it set up @itz_stacey so it doesn't require all those steps.

You're right. I don't believe it.

One of the words you seem to favor in feedback is spelled ridicuolus, not ridicules.
I think you've got a lock on the M word though.

That reminds me... I have a friend that sells bike parts here. I'd bet he'd be interested in reading this thread.
