I had a customer return an item because they no longer needed it. I clicked on order details from the bottom of the conversation and it is not showing what variation they purchased. I just wanted to confirm what they sent me back was what they bought, since the listing has more than twenty or so variations. Is there a way to view this without having to search the order number in my previous sales? It's not impossible to find the information I'm looking for, I just want to know if there is a more direct way to get to it.

You would have to look at the order details to see what was selected.

Depending on how many sales you have from a listing, it might be good to simply click on the listing and look for the line near the top that says X available, Y sold ... clicking on the "Y sold" will show the purchases with variations.

If you are asking if ebay displays which item they bought within the Return Details page... they absolutely do not! No idea why ebay would hide this info... to make giving refunds more complicated for us I guess. This has been a big annoyance of mine for a long time and I've complained to ebay about this many times. They agree it's an issue but nothing has been done.
So I end up having to search for their order in my sold page or look for it in the sold history page of the listing itself to find out what size and color the buyer bought. It definitely wastes alot of time.
