How to change the originator zip code on the new shipping page?

I don't know when the new shipping page was introduced, as I am a sporadic seller. But there doesn't appear to be any way to change the originating zip code or the shipping date on the new page. Am I missing something? I had to use the "classic" page because of this. My post office will not be happy if I walk in there with a package with the wrong zip code on it.

The only way to do it doesn't work in practice in some cases.

Hit the "Edit" link under the Ship From/Return To address on the label form.
There is a checkbox for "My ship from and return address are different" on the popup.
You then have to enter a complete new address for the ship from unless it is one already entered in your account.

That address provides the "ship from" zip code. That means if you are planning to drop off in a nearby town, you need to add an address in that nearby town to your account - like the address of PO in that town. Brilliant huh?

The label flow coders conflated a label return address (the address USPS or other carriers return an undeliverable pkg to) with the eBay returns address used for item returns - not the same thing at all for some (like me).

Unfortunately, the braindead label flow then forces your account's return address to be the one printed on the label, which does not work for me and not what I want. (if I am ever forced to use that trainwreck my labels are all going to indicate my default shipping address whether it's right or wrong for USPS. No, Actually, it won't. I won't be using eBay labels at that point.)

Absolute idiocy, but that is the way of the new label flow. Designed by people who have never shipped anything.

The shipping date can be changed using the "ship on" dropdown under the big blue Update button, above the services list halfway down the page.

You can do both on the single item shipping page ...

• There is an "edit" under the "Ship From/Return To" area
• There is a drop-down list of shipping dates to the right and just below where you specify the package weight.

On the poorly designed "beta" bulk shipping page, you cannot change the "Ship From/Return To" address.   However, trying to change the shipping date is like searching for an Easter Egg .... under the phrase "Shipping on XXXX from XXXX", there is an edit button that you can click and the shipping date is on the pop-up.  (This page has so many problems, we always use the classic page).

Totally agree with your  comments.

My theory is the folks in San Jose have  the "We got tired of looking at our own navel syndrome - so let's just  change it 'cause".

It would be nice every once and a while that an eBay change might actually be a real benefit to sellers vs. a PITA.   In reality, people actually buy into the benefits of new features or functions that solve real issues.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I will look for the shipping date dropdown next time I ship. But I will use the classic page when I need to change the originating zip code. That is really a big oversight in the page design. I've been through several redesigns of the shipping page on ebay, but they always offered the ability to change the originating zip code.

I am looking for the same thing.   I ship at a post office on my way to work so I use a different ship from zip code.   I guess when they take away the classic label printing program I will start using some other program outside of eBay to create my labels 

why does ebay make things so hard for sellers!!!!!
