hi. USPS shipping seems to have been worse than usual the past few months.
I had a package shipped in oct. that didn't arrive until december 15. Buyer was nice enough to contact me (i had already issued refund) and let me know she finally received them but didn't want them anymore. UGG. so i have to pay for shipping return.
2 packages I shipped in the past 3 weeks have not been scanned, and have not been received yet by the customer. Both tracking numbers show, shipping label printed, usps awaits package....
Can i get other sellers reports here. I'd like to know how many packages have fallen off the grid.. and did they ever show up. (i'm already used to about 30% of my packages not receiving a scan until the destination city,)
I handed the missing packages to the usps mail carrier. I don't want to hear, i should wait in line. etc.
just asking if other sellers have been having similar usps experiences..

If it's not too late now, tell your buyer to leave the package unopened and mark it "REFUSED - Return To Sender" clearly on the label, and hand it back to her PO.

No, and your carrier needs to start doing an Acceptance scan on packages handed to him for pickup, like he's supposed to.
I have to say, though, that 30% of your packages going unscanned until delivery, regardless of where in the country they're traveling and through whatever facilities, suggests that your shipping labels may not be legible enough for automated scanning. What type of printer are you using? Are the bar codes sharp and clear when printed?
One side benefit of getting your carrier to properly scan your Accepted packages is that if they are proving difficult or impossible to scan properly (the delivery entry may be getting keyed in by hand off the numbers at the bottom of the label), you'll know about that problem before the package leaves your place.

hi, I may have misspoken, 30% of my packages don't get a scan in the my city. they often get a scan when they arrive in the destination city. and then again when they are delivered.
30% may be a little high.. but it's at least 20% .. 20% either don't get a scan until they arrive at the next destination after leaving Houston and or when they arrive at the destination city
Included in that 20% are also mis scans.. that occurs also.. such as a group of packages being scanned as delivered when they are received at the post office, rather than received.
