Hiding return address for safety

Would be nice if Ebay had a system where I don't have to put my return address, for safety reasons.  But, there would be a record that the USPS could access on Ebay, if the package was undeliverable.  And they would get my return address from there.

That way I would not have to pay for a p.o. box.

But if a buyer filed a return against you, they'd get your address anyway...

Then this is an issue I think ebay needs to fix.  

Which leads to the question that I just posted after I posted this one... how does one change their return address without changing the address on file for recieving goods purchased from ebay.

You input the address in PayPal when purchasing. That is the address sellers should ship to.

I mean, if youre worried about a stalker or something, as soon as the buyer or seller has your name, they can find out just about anything about you

What safety reasons?  There really isn't anything for ebay or usps to fix.

As a victim of stalking, I empathize with you. He's in the pokey now- but when he gets out...I'll be nervous.

but I'm not trusting EBay with anything like helping me with something as important as my safety, there are other ways to retain some anonymity. Google is your friend.
