Global Shipping and Buyer Issue

Back in July I sold and item through the gsp. While tracking the item, I saw that the item was being held up in Tawian. After weeks of waiting for the item to move the item was shipped to Chicago, here in the USA.

I called SF tracking that handles shipping for that particular country. The customer service associate told me the item was being sent back because my buyer used a false name and the buyer did not follow instructions on the easy way app.

I called ebay they told me there really isn't anything they can do this item still sits in Chicago and has not been sent back to me. I sit and wait and my buyer sits and waits, luckily he has been patient. I asked the Ebay CSR for a phone number to the GSP and it's a forgein number. The ebay ebay CSR tells me I need to wait until the item is returned back to me, still the item sits, my customer purchased the item back on July 14, 2020.

Am I doing the right thing by following ebays representative instructions? I can't contact the Global Shipping Service, it's a 3rd party eBay uses and I'm not sure I'll ever use it again since there seems to be no contact information.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Thank You

Jay

Most likely the item may be locked in customs or some other shipping center, this has been causing a lot of delays in shipping.

I hope you get your item back.

Are you sure this was gsp. Did you ship to Kentucky?

Global Shipping and Buyer Issue

It's a very frustrating situation on International shipments. We sent a seat to Portugal on July 16th it is sitting in customs as supposably there are tariffs (custom fees due) that we had no idea about nor is it our duty to let the customer know these fees as we have no way to find out. It's up to the customer to find out these fees before purchasing products Internationally. So the customer doesn't want to pay the fee to receive the product. So it sits and in the meantime has filed an item not received case. But after suppling a tracking number and talking with eBay it's being resolved. If and when we receive the seatback we will refund the buyer less the shipping fees.

But we have now got a bad taste in our mouths and will no longer ship Internationally.
