I offer free shipping with my goods.
When does ebay charge me for the shipping? Do they take it out of the sale price?
Where can I verify this transaction occurred?
Thank you.

It depends what you selected when you printed the label.
You can pay the label either out of PayPal or from pending funds.
If you paid via PayPal it would show up in your PayPal history. If via pending funds it would show here https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/transactions

With FedEx, you probably won't see the final charge until the item has been delivered.
You can check under Payments> All Transactions

With MANAGED PAYMENTS (normally EBAY will hold back money so you can print label). Because you have "free shipping" you must use PayPal to print labels. You need to keep money into your PayPal account to cover costs of labels.
Normally selling fees based on (purchase price + shipping + sales tax). Because you offer "free shipping" fees based (purchase price + sales tax).
