Foreign Buyer using Qwintry 3rd party shipper with His purchase from me

A foreign Buyer just made a rather large purchase from me and i was expecting to see the address ebay uses for its global shipping program but instead its this address ........600 Centerpoint Blvd Ste 2040378 Historic New Castle DE 19720-8108 to a 3rd party shipper company called Qwintry.

Also as a note i am already on managed payments with ebay so paypal has nothing to do with this nor can any claim be filed through paypal so that is good in my mind..

Now my question for people with experience in this , Once i ship this and it gets to the address in DE with signature tracking confirmation, My liability on either and item not received or item damaged case has ended correct ?  and if a case was ever filed  as long as i prove with signature tracking that the item was received to the address the buyer provided in DE that went along with the sale ebay would side with me correct ?

Then once Qwintry had the item They soley from that point forward would be responsible for a lost package or damage and the buyer would file any and all claims through Qwintry, and i nor ebay are responsible for this claims correct ?

This has not yet shipped i wanted to get some answers here 1st.........

Thank you so very much for any and all help you can provide..

Buyer protection ends at the reshipper. Once they receive it and sign for it, it's delivered.  As long as you ship where ebay said to, you should be good.

Incorrect information is given in the quotes:

Unless the purchaser states it is reshipped they are still covered by eBay's buyers guarantee:

Could be a owner or employee of such a company according to eBay...

Most of these reshipping situations go well. Just saying...

Can you cite your source for that information?

Where would the purchaser state it's reshipped?

That was my 1st thought as well, as to where would the buyer state that they are using a reshipper

"Hi @kingofazzholes, when the delivery address is that of a forwarding service this is not by itself enough evidence to say the item was forwarded - forwarding companies have employees, and those employees may have purchases shipped to the office. I personally have all of my orders shipped to my office, as do many of my colleagues and friends. When there is proof that a buyer has had an item forwarded beyond the original delivery address, they would no longer be covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee. To withhold protection from a buyer, we do require evidence beyond the delivery address being that of a forwarding compan

I know this may seem strange, but years ago I personally spoke with the owner of one of these companies who had a case closed against him for a high value item because the assumption was made that the item was forwarded (don't worry, we corrected our mistake for this buyer). Additionally, many forwarding services will inspect and retain the item for their customers if this option is selected. I've worked with many of these companies personally when I worked in our Money Back Guarantee department. These are just a couple of examples of why we do not use the address by itself as evidence of an item being forwarded.

That being said, we can see if the address shipped to is a forwarding address and will consider this in conjunction with other details when reviewing the case to determine if the transaction qualifies for protection. You are welcome to contact Customer Service to review the specific details of your transaction if you have any concerns."

One way you can tell if the item is to be reshipped overseas, is the extra "fee" you pay (will see in those deducted) when a CC not registered in the USA is used.

Generally shipping to a freight forwarder is a good thing.  Nothing to be afraid of.  Oh sure if you Google it you will be scared silly.  It is an unreasonable fear from jingoistic types and those prejudice against foreigners!

The worse that can happen is you lose both the item and the money.    But that can happen on a domestic sale just as easily.

It gets into what case is filed. If the buyer in at another address and never receives the package, they can try and file a case. However, if tracking shows it was delivered to the address the buyer gave then your protected.  With an item not as described case it's not as simple.  On the one hand how does anyone know if the reshipper mixed up the packages?  Also the seller only has to provide a return label from the shipped to address the re shipper. The buyer has to get it back to them or ship it to the seller.  That could be proof it was reshipped in the first place.

Still there are a lot of questions when selling here.  One must take the risk into account when selling high value items.

Just an updated to your question..Just had a customer open a claim that they did not receive their item.  They had "their" address as 1620 Johnson Way
Ste 2156738
Historic New Castle, DE 19720-8111
United States  not international, so it went out normal us mail and shows delivered....She is stating "Your government has made a mess with our payment systems. I paid for the purchase and in fact it is in the warehouse of your country. I was not against its delivery and was ready to pay for it, but your government decided differently. So, in fact, the goods are in stock and cannot get to me with all my desire."  So this company may be spreading false information.   Still working to close out the claim.

I have shipped through the shipping forwarding companies many times with little problems. When I say many times about 30 to 40 items. Sometimes large items such as automotive headlights. Some can be expensive. I had two issues with it. One claimed he never got it. I had signature conformation that it was delivered to the Delaware address and to answer your question, yes that is all I had to do. He contacted another shipping company to ship it from there, therefore, I was not responsible. (He finally did get it)

Another time was a Posche 911 headlight. It was a $600.00 sale. The buyer claimed it was damaged and wanted me to pay to ship it back for a refund. I refused, due to the fact that they used a secondary shipping company, and my obligation was to get it safely to Delaware, after that it was the buyers responsibility. I won both claims. I welcome these sales; I live in Pennsylvania, and it is cheap to ship to Delaware.  I know they are being shipped internationally so I pack them with extra packing. I do all I can to make sure the sale goes smoothly.

I hope this helps.

Not so, I was able to google the address and find that the company was a reshipper. The buyer never said they were. I won two claims this way by proving it was reshipped.

I also just had a return from a customer who changed the address after I shipped the item. It was returned to me. I fully refunded them and relisted it. It is now sold to a "Qwintry" address. Now I'm nervous this is just a game for a reshipper and it will be sent back saying undeliverable?? What is this game and is there a human at ebay who can help if this happens?
