It’s been over a year since I used FedEx Smart Post and I didn't know it’s been changed to FedEx Ground/Home Delivery. I sold some items to a buyer back East and she selected Smart Post as her shipping method from my ad. I printed the label, not noticing it didnt say “Smart Post”, dropped it off at the Post Office as I used to do with Smart Post. It was scanned as accepted, and 4 hours later it was scanned as “Delivered” showing delivery to my zip code in Silverton Oregon. But it was NOT returned to my home. All this happened on Friday afternoon, so I’ve been in contact with the buyer about the mix-up, but unable to talk with the PO until they open later this morning. Hoping they have the package. Any ideas?

Could have been a scanner on the wrong setting. Were you able to get in contact with the post office for more info?

OMG no, you didn't! So you had been making USPS leg it all the way, instead of just the last leg.
FedEx SmartPost is dropped off at FedEx to transport it to the recipient's post office, which makes the final delivery.
