I'll admit, I am in the middle of printing labels, so I haven't had a chance to see whether it is real or just hype. But experience has shown these guys are pretty straightforward.

I don't use Pirateship, so maybe somebody who does use them can compare their prices to eBay's for us . You can check eBay's prices here:

Some of eBay's prices for Priority Mail have been lower than the published rates for several months; here's the announcement:

My selling ID got an email this morning from PirateShip stating that their prices have been lowered.
Unfortunately, I sell so few items on eBay, and I never think about using another postage service, so I just buy the postage on eBay. Maybe if I stumble upon a better-selling niche . . . . . . .

Well I just did a quickie. 89011 to 91203 4 pound priority mail at 10x10x10 - (just to eliminate cross contamination with flat rate or cubic pricing.)
eBay $8.18
PS $ 7.20
ALSO - same package Parcel Select
eBay $7.98
PS $ 7.05
Bear on mind that since I am a TRS+ I presume that the USPS prices are 3% lower than for other sellers. So even a little bigger savings.
ADDED BONUS - without going into a lot detail PS international first class prices are way cheaper than eBay's

I will be checking it out, hopefully tomorrow....

Do they have that feature where you sign up and give them your ebay name and then when you print a label, they will automatically upload the tracking # to ebay? That is a great feature if they have. I recall reading some company having that but forgot which one.

YES !!!
They automatically download all your sales so printing a label is just like eBay - click the item, select your method and print. They then automatically upload your tracking number back to eBay.
In addition to the regular savings mentioned above you need to look into their cubic pricing for any package under 1/2 of 1 cubic foot. And unlike the USPS you can use ANY box not just the specific USPS boxes. BIG savings - even cheaper than USPS flat rate.
If you need to cancel a label you have something like 21 days (or so not sure exactly) but definitely longer than the 4 days or so eBay gives.
They keep proof of delivery FOREVER so proof of delivery for long legged credit card charge backs are readily available (eBay and USPS only 90 days).
They have a very active and quick response chat box with knowledgeable people (although they do sometimes tend to speak Pirate).
And if you ship internationally ask about their Simple Export Rates"/ BIG savings over eBay on first class.
No - I do not work for them. But they save me so much money I admit to having a vested interest in keeping them in business.

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike some other services, there is never EVER a membership or any other fee beyond the postage itself.

To me, that is the best part. No membership fee's.
