Ebays new standard envelope tracking updated?

Has anyone who has shipped using Ebays new standard envelope gotten any tracking updated after dropping off at your post office?  The postal clerk said the bar code and the scan code near the postage does not have tracking information.  Any help would be appreciated

Yes, send 3 things the other day.  Tracked all the way to "Out for Delivery" which was today....but none are marked delivered

I wonder if eBay has set this up like Label 400?  If the clerks can't scan the code as "accepted" then how is it that  the carrier is going to be able to scan the item at the buyers door as "delivered?"  IS this something new or a new standard eBay is willing to accept?  i.e. "out for delivery" is equal to "delivered?"

I find it interesting that this is "live" and eBay is so silent on how it actually works.

I am having the same Issue. It really makes me nervous I just posted about 200 MTG cards on our ebay store. We have just started using the ebay standard envelope service and so far not a fan at all. I have no way to see if my buyer received there items. It has been 2 days and still not tracking info updated. I am having the exact same issue. I even went to the post office had the clerk check every single number and till nothing. We have no clue where my items I sent where and it stresses me out because we as seller strive on 100% feedback. I've had a few marked delivered, two of which already gave me + feedback, so I'm happy at least the first ones I sent out worked out well.  I still haven't been billed for the labels, however, and hate having to wait for so long before the costs are deducted.

I just started using this new postage option this week.  I asked my postal serviceperson about the label and tracking, and she said that the 'bar code' on the label is just a meter marking and that it won't provide tracking information updates.  And none of the items I've dropped off to the post office with these labels show any change in location...all still show 'label created' and nothing more.  Makes me really nervous too!  I really hope that EBay isn't pushing this new postage option without having worked out all the kinks, because I won't be happy if my customers aren't happy and my feedback ratings start to suffer.  I am really hoping that EBay has some arrangement with USPS to actually track using that 'meter' marking, and that my post office worker just hasn't heard about it yet.

From what I have gathered, it is a ESUS number, not the regular USPS tracking numbers, and it is not something that a clerk can scan but it is scanned along the way.

If the tracking code placed on the envelop is not scanable at the retail counter and only generates scans as it goes through automatic sorting machines, then there is no way to "scan it" as delivered with a GPS location.  Oh sure, the letter could show up in the recipients email IF they have Informed Delivery, but that is no assurance the letter doesn't get stolen, dropped or misdelivered.

It seems eBay is willing to shoulder the risk of this with some "insurance" for the seller as noted in that link you supplied.

I also moved my new listings and convert other listings to the standard envelope. 

2 out of 5 that indicate delivered so far are LOST. I also cant figure out how to track the package outside of ebay. I'd like to open a "case" with USPS but the tracking number isn't recognized. I am going to have to stop using this until EBAY figures it out. Buyers will be disappointed

I've shipped about 50 packages so far with it. Mine are all over the place. Some are only showing label created, some scanned at the RPC in Pittsburgh, a few scanned other places along the way and 3 are showing as delivered. I had o ne customer so far who had late delivery and messaged me asking if it was ever shipped. It got there about 3 days late but never did show anything on tracking. I like the cost and the convenience, I don't like the lack of actual tracking.

I currently have two items shipped that show no tracking at all. The "tracking" says: "Label created" and that is all. Even after a week, there are no updates. I have hand delivered these two items to the local postal clerk and have no idea where these items are in the system. I like the cost saving but am skeptical about the tracking. Kinda bummed.

Scans on SE happen as envelopes go through highs peed sorting machines, seems to be transient at best these days

I was looking for info on Ebay Standard Envelope tracking and I saw your post. I used the Ebay Standard Envelope for the first time on Monday. I mailed three items in regular 4x9in envelopes. I was concerned that the USPS tracking site says the tracking number I have are not valid tracking numbers. But, when I used the "trackmyshipment" link that you provided, I saw tracking info for all three items. 

I was relieved and I just wanted to thank you for providing this info!!

Yes. Try this website. I found out ( not through USPS) that my item was indeed delivered.
