Ebay label savings question

First class package ebay label cost $5.42, which matches the USPS commercial rate table.

The USPS retail table shows $6.50, which is $1.08 more than the eBay label.

The ebay label page says I saved $3.08.

Where is the extra $2.00 savings coming from?

Ebay label savings question

$5.42 is the online price to ship a First Class package weighing 13 - 15.99 ounces to Zone 5.

$6.50 is the retail price to ship a First Class package weighing 13 ounces to Zone 5.

$8.50 is the retail price to ship up to 1 pound via Priority Mail to Zone 5.

Looks like eBay is basing their retail price estimate on a weight of 14 ounces or more, where the package would be upgraded to Priority if you were purchasing postage at the retail counter.
