I have had so many problems with fedex, I refuse to knowingly purchase from any seller who uses them. (3 out of 4 misdelivered)
In fact, the only items I get shipped by fedex are my free ebay shipping supplies. The last time I had the order shipped to me, when I would call and enter the tracking number, the automated system said "you package has been delivered" and hung up. I couldn't get past that....I have my purchases shipped to a friend's house and pick them up there.
My last order went to my listing assistant. There were 2 boxes in the order. She tells me she only got one of the boxes. So I do the tracking and take a snapshot of where they said it was delivered. Box one was delivered to her back door under the deck. 35 minutes later box two was delivered at her garage door.
This does not inspire confidence in a carrier.
When eBay shipping supplies went via UPS, they were always delivered to my address. And if it were going to rain or raining, the delivery person wrapped them in plastic. I am told the seller uses FexEx because it's cheaper...heaven only knows what would happen if I offered to pay the difference between the two...
