Customer confirmed delivery after 1 day delay. USPS not updating as delivered.

Had a customer inquire about a delayed package, later in the day he confirmed the package was delivered and he has possession of it, however USPS has not updated any information on the package therefore payment cannot be made. 

Is this nothing to worry about and they will update it in a few days?

You'll still get paid. You're new at selling so they may hold the payment 30 days in case the buyer should file a dispute.
