Children buying Without permission

My doughter bought something Without my permission and The shipping costs were 300$ itself. I've contacted The seller and waiting for an answer. Do I only Get The money the item is worth back or do I also get the shipping costs refunded as well?

Are you asking the seller for refund or to cancel?

If the item has shipped, you get the item price only IF the seller accepts returns and you have to pay for returning shipping yourself. If it hasn't shipped, and the seller won't cancel, please understand that the issue is with your daughter and not the seller. The seller isn't required to cancel and you are ultimately responsible for your account and all activity on it. You'll need to seek reimbursement from your daughter.

You get the item you ordered. I hope you had a talk with your "doughter", and maybe a change in your basic security.

$300?  What on earth did your daughter order that costs $300 just for the shipping?

You can request that the seller cancels the order, but they are not required to do so. 

Every time I hear this I have to shake my head. My daughters are 20 and 26 now but they have been surfing eBay on my account for the past 13 years. The youngest still hasn't bothered with her own account. They STILL ask permission to bid or buy anything using one of my accounts even though they also will leave the money for the purchase on my desk.

Time to have a discussion with your daughter.

If the seller has shipped the item you should know that he or she can not recover the shipping, He or she would be out $300, that would hardly be fair. You don't say how old your daughter is but she should be held accountable for that amount. If she is old enough she can get a job and pay you back. If too young then find her a suitable way to work it off.

OP is registered in Norway, so while International Shipping is expensive, there may also be currency exchange issues.

Disregard the improper advice. You/she bought glue. If you get glue there is no claim to file. Daughter does extra chores to pay it off.

A few years a man was to pay because him children bided a 1965  car with astronomic price   and the car...car and guess what... he had to pay. the actions of our acounts says as a buyer i am commited to buy.

Your daughter bought it, you paid for it. If the seller does not have a return policy, there is nothing you can do but enjoy your glue or sell it to someone else.

How old is the daughter?

Why was the daughter signed in under your account?

Proper thing to do is change your password so this doesn't happen again and don't even think about writing it down and leaving it next to the computer, kids can read.  Don't give anybody your password

Just remember you are responsible for anything brought under your account so it is best to not have anybody but yourself signed into your account.  if others are going to search ebay from your computer don't be signed in and NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PASSWORD!

I totally agree! Extra chores to pay for all of it. How old is this daughter anyway? Kids should NOT have their parents info for their personal accounts to anything. Password it.

That seller is nuts.  Shipping a $60 item w/ $300 shipping.   Good Lord.
