Hello. I purchased a collectable figurine statue that's fairly sizeable. The advertised shipping was 30 dollars, domestic. I received a mail from the seller today though, saying they noticed the shipping was wrong and due to the size of the piece, they would send a charge for a 50$ difference. Am I obligated to pay this? I feel like I could be getting ripped off. Shipping for other items this size seem to trend between 30 to 55 dollars.

You are neither obligated or required to to pay it. The seller is responsible for setting up the listing correctly and should not be asking for more money after the sale. That said, eBay can’t force her to ship the item.
