About three months ago, I noticed the calculated shipping rates on eBay to be different than my actual UPS rates. I did not may it much attention because it was no that drastic. eBay rates are lower in most cases. Anyway, as I am looking into this further, while negotiating with my UPS rep to get my rates down, I did some snooping into my shipping preferences on eBay. When I click "Manage Shipping Settings" > "edit link next to Offer carrier-specific discounts for buyers and it takes me to a page where I can tick "Offer eBay-negotiated discount rates" and highlight UPS eBAy rates , pricing does not change. Shouldnt this be MY negotiated rates needing my UPS account.

With UPS, and FedEx labels sold by eBay, eBay is the contract holder and "shipper of record". If you can negotiate a lower rate with UPS using your own account, then buy your labels from the UPS website and upload the tracking numbers to eBay. The rates on eBay are what they negotiated with UPS.
The trouble with buying the UPS labels on eBay is that if you have a problem. they will not deal with the you, because eBay is the account older. You would then have to rely on eBay negotiating with UPS on your behalf, and bro, that ain't happening.

I appreciate he response, but my concern is why I cannot have my UPS account rates show up on the listing. I prefer to use my own rates. My rates are discounted in weight ranges, Meaning, I get larger discounts in certain weight ranges than in others. That creates an issue for me because I ebays ups rates are standard discounts across the board.
