So ebay has made a change to their final value fee with UPS and it is capped at $999 so if you sell an item over that amount you cannot get insurance to cover the full amount that you sold it for. I have reached out to eBay and they state that "there is nothing that we can do." They suggest that I go to UPS and get a shipping label, which means I dont get the discount for using their services.
Anyone else notice this? Or does anyone know where I can find where they tell their sellars about this?

Are you purchasing UPS insurance or ShipCover insurance @amos357mag ?
https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/shipcover/shipping-insurance-shipcover?id=4643
ShipCover is up to $1,000
UPS is supposed to be up to $50K
If you're stuck you can always buy the label from pirateship.com - you'll see the same level of UPS discount and there is a third party insurance option with Shipsurance though I don't remember the $$ cap offhand.

It is UPS insurance when printing the label. I have talked to eBay and now it is only up to $999 so the $50K is no more. I was in a longer conversation with them because I wanted to see where on the website it shows that they made that change and of course cant tell me where to find it. I have ran into this problem with 5 items now.
I will check out that website!!! Thanks
