Hi, A buyer completed a buy it now purchase on June 12 at around noon. I saw the order that evening and pulled package from inventory to ship in the morning. Around noon the following day I printed the shipping label and sent it on its way. Later that day I noticed in my message box that the buyer requested a cancellation and to stop the shipment (about 24 hours after order was paid for).
I sent a message to buyer stating that I was not aware of the cancellation request until now and I would try to contact fedex to pull the shipment. So far the only option is a request for the package to be held at a location. The other suggestions I receive from fedex are to log into my account and cancel the shipment, but I don't have an account with fedex. Is there a better way to handle this? or is this the best way?
I am also wondering, if I do get the item returned to me, will there be a charge from fedex that I will be responsible for since I am the one who requested the return. Thanks.

Sorry this happened. Considering FedUp's subpar everything, I imagine this is going to be a nightmare and expensive.

Yeah, have the buyer open a return.
Package intercept costs money and it isn't 100% successful.

Yea, just trying to get some answers from fedex on this is a nightmare. I am waiting on a call back from them.

I'm guessing that you meant the order was made on June 12, not in May?
Since you are actually using eBay's Fedex account, I don't know if they will do an intercept for you.

Sorry, Yes the order was placed on June 12, this past Wednesday.

The buyer will probably open a case and declare item damaged or not what he ordered so he will cause you to return all money including shipping to and from him. Ebay has taught buyers every possible way to scam sellers

First...block this buyer.
Item is already in shipping...buyer can accept it or refuse it.
I get FedEx packages from New Jersey to San Francisco(me) sometimes in 2 days.
I wouldn't do anything...let buyer decide what they want to do.
Buyer can refuse it...and there should no extra charge for a return...plus it could be a win(you) but that's a different story.
"the one requested the return"...I would not do that as a seller.
Let the buyer do what they want to do...and no more emails to buyer until then.
