I'm sure I cannot be the only one who has been experiencing an increase in issues/cases since eBay has added Authenticity Guarantee(AG), if I am, allow me to explain.
Since AG was added to eBay, I have seen my Seller Rating go at risk due to an issue with uploading tracking numbers, which eBay is supposed to do automatically when I purchase my shipping labels directly from the eBay site.
A second issue that I have been experiencing is the inability to contact buyers about their item, it is possible to still message the buyer, but a work around must be done to do that. This has had me receiving less positive reviews for the amazing communication I used to be able to provide with buyers.
The third issue I have been dealing with is an insane increase in the amount of cases that I have had opened against me, the main reason I'm seeing cases opened is due to the fact that eBay lists the buyer's package as 'Delivered' when it arrives at the Authenticator. This causes customers to think that their package was delivered and shipped to an entirely different state than they might be in, topped with the buyer not able to send me a message.
Don't get me wrong, I think the addition of AG is great, and allows buyers to have an extra layer of confidence when purchasing, but AG can definitely see some improvements. Am I the only one experiencing this? Is there a way that I can attempt to communicate this with eBay?

You can add a message to your listings to inform buyers of that tracking issue. They way they will know what to expect.

Thanks for the tip, I'll do that on my next sale.

I just bought a pair of collectible shoes. Went to authenticator who stained the shoes and wrecked the box. Anyone who collects knows box condition is equally important and has devalued it. eBay does not offer a refund for their employees wrecking things because as far as they are concerned they authenticated the shoes and that’s it. They then stop you from contacting the seller to let them know or request a refund. I advise anyone who sees a seller is using authentication to NOT BUY FROM THOSE SELLERS!!! Any seller using this I advise you to remove it or you will lose sales and receive negative feedback thanks to people that don’t appreciate collectables

I agree. I bought a pair of Nike SB dunks, but they were not SB. They were just the basic dunks. They passed the authentication by Ebay, so I cannot contact the seller, nor can I figure out how to contact ebay to file a claim on this.

If an item qualifies for the authentication program, it is automatically put on the listing. Sellers do not have the option of opting in or out.
