Asked for Returning an Item but got a Chinese Return Address

I asked for a refund from a seller and got a response back asking me to ship the item back to them. There was no return label, instead it just said "address" all in grey and underneath that was what I think is a Chinese mailing address.  The due date to return the item  is Jan13 and due to return address in Chinese i may not be able to ship the item even UPS store they haven't accepted it as the return address is in Chinese language. I need you help and opan a case to get my refund by returning the item I need return label with Return address to return the item.

I had a very bad experience with ebay no customer service phone number and online chat facility for assistance to return the items..

This is a Community board. posters here are other eBay buyers, sellers and various. 

If you want a refund you will have to file a return.  Go to the bottom of this page and find & click on "Resolution Center."  Follow those instructions CAREFULLY!!!

If you do not understand something in the process DO NOT GUESS!  Instead come back here and ask before you do anything, because we see too many who 'think' they are doing the right thing, mess up and lose protections under the MBG.

Listen to teh advice here over any "advice" given by the seller.  We will steer you right.

You got a Chinese address because the item came from Shenjhen, China. Hard lesson learned, no?

If the item is INAD, the seller provides a return label or just refunds the buyer.

What is the reason for the return?  If it is Not as Described, the seller has to send you enough funds to your Paypal account so you can purchase postage, because the seller cannot provide a shipping label good in this country.

You can send a label with Chinese characters.  Just make sure it says CHINA at the bottom in big letters.  Once the package gets to China, the people there will be able to read the address and deliver it.

If the seller does not want to send you money for the return, s/he can give you a FULL REFUND.  If the seller doesn't want to do either of those two things, then you go back to the returns request and click Ask ebay to step in.

Same thing just happened to me.  You can cut and paste the Chinese address after google searching Chinese to English translation.  It's instant and free.  It translates the address into English perfectly.
